Due to the many people waiting to get in and waiting for a slot machine at the grand opening some gave it a not so nice review as some stated the casino floor was too small, however when we were there no lines were waiting to get in and no were lines waiting for a slot machine. 8 and we were surprised at how nice the casino and hotel were. We made reservations to spend the night at the casino hotel Oct. At it's grand opening Sept 28, there were lines of people and traffic waiting to get in so many people were turned away due to the casino being at full capacity or were told they could go to Harrah's in Cherokee NC 65 miles away through the beautiful Nantahala Gorge so some gave it negative reviews.
Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino is a new Cherokee nation casino that opened Soutside of Murphy NC that's an offshoot of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee NC.
